The Tri-County Resilience Work Group warmly invites you to the 2025 Regional Resilience Summit on December 4, 2025, a vital gathering to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the growing spirit of resilience across Southeastern North Carolina. Partners from the Resiliency Coalitions of Bladen, Columbus, and Robeson Counties are joining forces to present this important day of connection and learning for community members and those dedicated to fostering well-being in our region.

Together, we will deepen our understanding of the far-reaching impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which extend beyond abuse and neglect to encompass household challenges such as parental separation or divorce, substance abuse within the household, mental illness of a household member, and incarceration of a household member, to include community-level factors like violence, discrimination, and lack of opportunity, and historical trauma that continues to impact families and communities.

Importantly, we will also explore the powerful role of Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) – such as having supportive relationships, feeling a sense of belonging, and engaging in community activities – in buffering the effects of adversity and building lasting resilience.

This summit offers a crucial opportunity to learn practical strategies for cultivating resilience and strengthening relationships within our communities, paving the way for a brighter and more resilient future for all.
